Just Do Good Campaign: UCLA Men's Rowing

The Just Do Good campaign was launched in September 2017 with the goal of highlighting businesses, student groups, and private enterprises for various #JustDoGood service acts. Groups are encouraged to submit their stories on our submission page (FOUND HERE)then we select from the stories that showcase people making this world a better place! ucla mens rowing 1This week, we’re highlighting the work that the UCLA Men's Rowing team has done at their local food bank. Keep reading to hear more about the teams #JustDoGood work Earlier this month, the UCLA Men's Rowing team volunteered several hours at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, helping sort and package over 50,000 lbs of food to distribute to the ucla mens rowing 2hungry and homeless throughout the LA community.  Not only did the team help thousands of people in need, but according to one member, Chase Bakkeby, he says, "the guys thought that this was a fun way to bond as a team outside of our regular schedule/comfort zone, and really special opportunity to gain a more appreciative perspective as we gave back to the city that has meant so much to us here in school". According the Bakkeby, the entire Rowing team is eagerly awaiting their upcoming service events. Future events include a creek cleanup and habitat restoration project in Ballona Creek, where they will row, by Marina del Rey.
